  மலைமஞ்சனூர் மலையில் தீ Challenge !!! A repeated challenge for Trees on Hills Project.  Yesterday (20 Apr 2021 ) at Malamanjur Hills in Tiruvannamalai district , our youth forum team member reported man lit fire for burning the lemon grass grown atop the hills.  Just two weeks ago after meeting the Block Development Officer in Thandrampattu block, we alerted the Village Panchayat President for preventing the forest fire which has been happening every year during summer for harvesting the Lemon grass. In the process , every year no of young trees, which have been planted and grown naturally are also getting burnt. Responsible Citizens iyakkam with the help of local village youth volunteers have been trying to bring awareness among the villagers about the importance of the trees on hills.
