  எ ங்களுக்கு தொடர்ந்து சவால் கொடுக்கும் திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டம் மலைமஞ்சனூரில் இளம் காலையிலே மேகமெனும் மஞ்சையும் ஊடுருவி மலை முழுவதும் புல்லான மஞ்சம் புற்களின் மீதே நறுமணம் வீச எங்களது பசுமை மலைமஞ்சனூர் பொறுப்புள்ள இளைஞர்களுடன் விக்கிரமாதித்தனும் வேதாளம் கதையை போல் இந்த வருடமும் மலை மீது மரம் வைக்க 6.11.2022 சென்றோம்.   I nitially we planned to dig only the pits on the hills on October 3 rd.  But Nature invited us at the down hill with a pleasant drizzle.  When we were hesitating to climb on the hill when it was wet, sky immediately cleared and weather became bright. The Forest Way , Tiruvannamalai , an organisation into tree planting on Tiruvannamalai hill, helped us with Banyan & Peepul tree saplings. That Organisation's Mr. Kartik & wild life photographer Mr. Kumar helped us in getting us the saplings. . They also shared their experience in preventing the fire from destroying the saplings as they do in the Annamalai hill. F or the last three years the Youth of Malamanjanur have now become a society as " Green Malamanjanur Responsible Youth association " and helped us this year too in tree plantation. Tree Planting Preparations for the Monsoon   மழைகாலத்தில் மரங்கள் நட தயாரான நிகழ்ச்சி F or the forthcoming North East Monsoon in Tamilnadu between September to December 2021, Responsible Citizens iYakkam (RCi)  in consultation with Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Department (RDPRD ) identified the hills for tree plantations at Melpachar & Malamanjanur Villages in Tiruvannamalai District. வரவிருக்கும் வடகிழக்கு பருவ மழைக் காலமான செப்டம்பர் முதல் டிசம்பர் 2021 வரையிலான மாதங்களில் மேல்பாச்சார் மற்றும் மலைமஞ்சனூர் கிராமங்களில் ஊரக வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் பஞ்சாயத்து ராஜ் துறையின் ஆலோசனைப்படி மலைகளில் மரக் கன்றுகள் நடும் இடங்களை பொறுப்புள்ள குடிமக்கள் இயக்கம் அந்த கிராமங்களின் இளைஞர்கள் குழுக்களுடன் இணைந்து தெரிவு செய்தது.   மலைகள் தோறும் மரங்கள் திட்டம் விதை பந்து விதைத்தல் மலைமஞ்சனூர்  10 நவம்பர் 2019 திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டம் தண்டராம்பட்டு வட்டத்தில் இருக்கும் மலைமஞ்சனூர் கிராமத்தில் உள்ள மலையில் உள்ளூர் கிராம மக்கள் உதவியுடன் பொறுப்புள்ள குடிமக்கள் இயக்கம் சார்பில் 3500 விதை பந்துகள் மலை மீது தூவுவதல் மற்றும் மண் கண்டம் வாட்டம் இருக்கும் இடங்களில் நடப்பட்டது. தண்டராம்பட்டு வட்டத்திலேயே மரங்களே இன்றி அதிகம் பாறைகளுடன் வெறும் புற்களாகவே காட்ட்சியளிக்கும் ஒரு மலை. அதுவும் வருடாவருடம் இங்கும் வளரும் மஞ்சம் பில்லை பறிப்பதற்காக இந்த மலையில் தீ மூட்டி மலையில் இயற்கையாகவே வளரக்கூடிய மரங்களை கூட தீயினால் எரிந்து வாடிவிடுகின்றன. இதனாலேயே இந்த மலையை பசுமையாக்குவதே ஒரு சவாலாக ஏற்று பொறுப்புள்ள குடிமக்கள் இயக்கம் களமிறங்கியது.  இதற்காக உள்ளூர் மக்கள் பலரை தொடர்பு கொண்டு மலையின் மீது மரங்கள் வளர்க்க வேண்டிய அவசியத்தை பலருக்கும் எடுத்துரைத்தோம்.  இதில் இளம் விவசாயி திரு. செல்வ குமார் மற்றும் அவரின் நண்பர்கள் அவர்கள் ஊரில் இருக்கும் இயற்கை கொடுத்த வரமான மலையை பயன்படுத...

On 10.Nov.2019 Sunday, Responsible Citizens iYakkam with the Local village volunteers organised & sown seed balls containing varieties of trees' seeds on top of the malamanjanur hills. We chose the malamanjanur hill in this region( southern part of Thiruvannamalai district)  ,  though there are no of hills close by,  this is the only hill in the region without much big trees growing & only Lemon grass kind of  grass known in local Tamizh language as "manjam pillu " . This grass smells like lemon when it is squeezed.  The name of the hill itself is derived after this grass.
