  Velachery Ram Nagar Residents Welfare Association conducted a Responsible Republic Day at Ram Nagar 1st street, Velachery.  Celebrations started with Flag unfurling done by Army Retired Service Personnel Mr. Anish Kumar.  இன்று வேளச்சேரி ராம் நகர் குடியிருப்போர் நலச்சங்கம் சார்பில் பொறுப்புள்ள குடியரசு தினம் ராம் நகர் முதல் தெருவில் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. நிகழ்வை ஓய்வு பெற்ற இராணுவ அதிகாரி திரு. அனீஷ் குமார் இந்திய தேசிய கொடியேற்றி தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.   In recent floods in Dec 2023 - Velachery Ram Nagar was inundated with flood water and many of its storm water drains were filled with plastic garbage affecting flow of flood water. To Prevent further floods it is the residents responsibility too avoid putting plastic wastes on road. On Bhogi day, 14th January 2024, when Responsible Citizens iYakkam in association with Ram Nagar residents welfare association, Paryavaran Samrakshan Samithi & Velachery Malayalee association conducted GREEN BHOGI at Velachery Ram Nagar - it is with enthusiasm some of the residents brought the eco bricks made from their house plastic waste, it radiated lots of positive energy and in fact motivated two young cricket playing kids to take up eco bricks making on the play ground itself.   கடந்த மாதம் வந்த வெள்ளத்தில் சென்னையின் பல தெருக்களில் தண்ணீர் அதிகம் தேங்கியதற்கு ப்ளாஸ்டிக் (நெகிழி ) கவர்களும் மிக முக்கிய காரணம். குடிமக்கள் பலரும் இன்னமும் கடைகளில் மெல்லிய பிளாஸ்டிக் கவர்களில் பொருட்களை வாங்கி வந்து விட்டு கவர்களை சாலைகளில் விட்டெடிருந்து விட்டு செல்கிறார்கள். இதனால் தண்ணீர் போக வேண்டிய மழை  நீர் வடிகால் கால்வாய்கள் பலவும் அடைத்து கொண்டு சிறு மழைக்கு கூட சாலைகளில் தண்ணீர் தேங்கும் நிலைக்கு தள்ளி விடுகிறது. வீசப்படும் கவர்களை எரித்தும் சுற்றுச் சூழல் மாசுபடுகிறது. இந்த கவர்கள் தண்ணீரிலும் அடித்து செல்லப்பட்டு கடல் வரைக்கும் சென்று கடல் வாழ் உயிரினங்களும் ப்ளாஸ்டிக்கை முழுங்கும் நிலைக்கு தள்ளப்படுகிறார்கள். இதனால் பொறுப்புள்ள குடிமக்களாக இந்த சுழ்நிலைக்கு நாம் என்ன செய்யலாம் என்று சிந்தித்த போது நமது பயனுறு சூழல் அமைப்பின், வட தமிழ்நாடு ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் திரு ஜவஹர் கிருஷ்ணன் - " பசுமையான வீடு " முறைப்படி ஒவ்வொரு வீடும் எப்படி அவர்கள் வீடுகளில் பயன்ப்டுத்தும் ப்ளாஸ்டிக் குப்பைகளை மறுசுழற்சி முறைப்படி இந்த வீணான ப்ளாஸ்டிக் கவர்களை நாம் பயன்படுத்தும் 1லிட்ட...

  What India needs today ?
