 Recently  Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari has candidly admitted in the parliament that " He tries to Hide his FACE during international conferences on road accidents "  Referring this article in the Magazine in India Today  https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/nitin-gadkari-on-road-accidents-india-lok-sabha-discussion-2648900-2024-12-12 It is very clear why India is not able to reduce accidents despite the Minister took a vow to reduce it by half.  Minister expression & the way he puts it on citizens to change clearly indicates that there is no near future chance to reduce the accidents. Since he put the onus on the Responsible Citizens of the country, we wish to offer few suggestions, if implemented, he can hold his head high on any international forum on road safety. முருகன் சிலைக்கு பின்பும் அரச மரம் நட்டுள்ளார்கள்  திருவண்ணாமலையில் 13 டிசம்பர் 2024 அன்று கார்த்திகை தீபம் ஏற்றும் சமயத்தில் மாவட்டத்தின் தாணிப்பாடி வட்டத்தில் உள்ள கோண மலையில் -பொறுப்புள்ள இளைஞர்கள் சிலர் 40 மரக் கன்றுகளை அன்று பெய்த மழை ஈரத்திலேயே குழி எடுத்து மரக் கன்றுகளை நட்டு தங்கள் கிராமத்தின் மலைகளை பசுமையாக்குவது தங்கள் பொறுப்பு என்ற நம்பிக்கை ஒளியை பொறுப்புள்ள குடிமக்கள் இயக்கத்திற்கு ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளார்கள். On 13th Dec 2024 - Karthigai Deepam -Light was lit atop the Tiruvannamalai Hills. At the same time in the same district, Near Thanipadi town, using the wetness of overnight rain, Youth from the town planted 40 trees saplings including many fruit tree saplings on the Kona Malai Hill.  I ndia wants to be developed country. We are becoming manufacturing hub of the world. We could manufacture anything from a Nuclear Submarine to Inter continental ballistic missile. ISRO could send it's crafts to study even the south pole of the moon. But India's Capital, New DELHI is fighting world's severest Air pollution every year. Air quality Index is equivalent to smoking 20 cigarettes a day. Most of the residents are facing respiratory problems every winter. How come a unhealthy place be a Capital of a country, which wants to show a healthy growth????? In summer, Delhi is facing severe water scarcity.  If it rains, it is getting severely water logged. Moreover Delhi is quite farther away from South of India. So it is essential, India's capital has to be at the Centre of the Country, equidistant to all the states.
