Re-treeing Hill of Malamanjanur Tiruvannamalai மரம் மறு முயற்சி மலைமஞ்சனூர்

 எங்களுக்கு தொடர்ந்து சவால் கொடுக்கும் திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டம் மலைமஞ்சனூரில் இளம் காலையிலே மேகமெனும் மஞ்சையும் ஊடுருவி மலை முழுவதும் புல்லான மஞ்சம் புற்களின் மீதே நறுமணம் வீச எங்களது பசுமை மலைமஞ்சனூர் பொறுப்புள்ள இளைஞர்களுடன் விக்கிரமாதித்தனும் வேதாளம் கதையை போல் இந்த வருடமும் மலை மீது மரம் வைக்க 6.11.2022 சென்றோம்.

In the early morning dusky Sunday morning walked through the clouds to the aromatic land (aroma of the grass - Manjam Pil ) of Malamanjanur in Tiruvannamalai District in Tamizh Nadu. we have been doing these repeated exercises of planting trees on this hill with our Pasumai Malamanjanur Responsible Youth Club on 6.11.2022.

போன வருடம் ஓடைகள் ஓடி வரும் பாதையில் மரக் கன்றுகளை நட்டோம். ஆனால் வழக்கம் போல் சிலர் நெருப்பு மூட்டி மகிழ்ந்ததால் நாங்கள் வைத்த மரங்கள் தீக்கிரையாகின. அதனால் இந்த முறை உச்சி மலைக்கு சென்று 6 அடி வளர்ந்த பூவரசு கன்றுகளை நட்டோம்.

Last year we planted the trees on the path of the rivulets flowing down the hill. But early this year some miscreants lighted the grass with a match stick and it burnt down the whole hill. So This year we chose to climb the hill and plant 6 foot tall poovarasu saplings.

ஏன் பூவரசு ? இந்த மரம் மிக வேகமாக வளரக் கூடியது மற்றும் இது மரமாக வளர்ந்த பின் இதன் கிளைகளை போத்து மரமாக நட்டால் அதுவும் வேகமாக வளர்ந்து பறவைகள் வந்து தங்க சிறந்த இடமாகி விடும்.

Why Poovarasu Tree  ( Indian Tulip Tree )?. This tree can grow faster and once it grows the branches can be used as a graft to make a new tree when planted on the soil. It will give room for more birds to habitate the hill and create more jungle by spreading different varieties of tree seeds.

இந்த மரங்களை எங்களின் பசுமை ரெட்டியார்பாளையத்தின் பொறுப்பாளர் திரு. சிலம்பரசன் பெரு முயற்சி எடுத்து கொண்டு வந்து பசுமை மலைமஞ்சனூர் பொறுப்பாளர் திரு.செல்வ குமார் வீட்டில் கடந்த வாரத்தில் ஓப்படைத்திருந்தார். இன்று நாங்கள் செல்வகுமார் வீட்டிலிருந்து 40 மரக்கன்றுகளை பைக்குகளில் ஊர்வலமாக மலைமஞ்சனூர் கிராமத்தின் தெருக்களின் வலம் வந்து அனைத்து மக்களின் கவனத்தையும் ஈர்த்து மலையின் மீது மரங்கள் நடப் போகிறோம் என்பதை சொல்லாமல் சொன்னோம்.  இதனாலாவது தீ மூட்டாமல் இருப்பார்களா என்ற பேராசையுடன் முயற்சித்தோம்.

These trees were brought by the Person Responsible for Pasumai reddiar palayam , Mr. Silambarasan after taking no of efforts and he kept it in the house of the Person Responsible for Pasumai Malamanjanur, Mr. Selva Kumar.  We took 40 nos of the 6 feet tall saplings from the farm in bikes in to the malamanjanur village to create awareness to the all the villagers that we are attempting to plant trees this year too. This is to ensure that they prevent fire on the hills to save the trees.

மலையின் மீது தம்பிகள் திரு. பெரிய சாமி,  திரு. அன்
பரசு, திரு. கேசவன் , திரு. தங்கபாண்டி, திரு. அசோக், திரு. பிரபாகரன் மற்றும் திரு. சூர்ய மூர்த்தி ஆகியோர் தங்கள் ஊருக்கு மழை வேண்டி சபரி மலைக்கு இருமுடி சுமந்து செல்வது போல் தங்கள் தலைகளில் பாரமான மரக்கன்றுகளை சுமந்து வந்து கடப்பாறை , மண்வெட்டிகளால் மலையின் உச்சியில் குழிகள் வெட்டி மரக் கன்றுகளை நட்டனர். மேலும் வர இருக்கும் வாரங்களில் பருவ மழைக்கேற்ப மேலும் பல மரங்களை சுமந்து நடந்து வந்து நட உள்ளனர்.  அந்த முயற்சிகளையும் அடுத்த பதிவுகளில் காணலாம். இந்த மலையிலிருந்து 12 மாதமும் ஓடைகள் கசிந்து ஓடும் வரை முயற்சி தொடர வேண்டும்.  அதற்கு அனைவரின் நல்லாசிகளும், ஆதரவும், தொடர் முயற்சிகளும் வேண்டும்.

It was like a sabari mala yatra, where the ardent devotees carry the essentials on head to climb the hill, here our Responsible Youth of Malamanjanur, Mr. Periya Sami, Mr. Anbarasu, Mr. Kesavan, Mr. Thanga Pandi, Mr. Ashok, Mr Prabhagaran and Mr. Suriya Murthy, carried the weight of the saplings on their head to the top of the Hill. We are ready with more saplings this year and in subsequent weeks within this monsoon months, we shall be planting on this hill and will be updating in the subsequent blogs. We all need your well wishes, support and continuous efforts till we are able to see the water trickle down the hill throughout the year.
