In Thiruvannamalai district in Tamilnadu, Parvathamalai is the second most famous hill shrine after the Thiruvannamalai hill & Shrine.   Parvatha Malai is very famous for its hill top shrine located on top of a steep rock. The top of the hill is a dry rock, it radiates heat under the hot sun without much shade.
