போன வருடம் மலைமஞ்சனூர் மலையில் விதை பந்துகள் தூவினோம்.  அப்போதே விதை பந்துகளை காட்டிலும் போத்து மரக் கன்றுகள் நட்டு வளர்த்தால் மலையை விரைவில் முழுமையாக பசுமையாக்கி விடலாம் என்று கிராம இளைஞர்களிடம் சொல்லி இருந்தோம்.

Last year we sowed seed balls on this hill. That time itself we decided that Pothu trees are the best option for this hill to make it greener in shorter period of time.

இந்த ஊரின் பேருந்து நிறுத்தத்தின் பெயர் "அரச மரம் " ஆனால் அங்கே ஒரு பெரிய ஆலமரம் தான் இருக்கிறது. நமது நண்பர்கள் அந்த ஆலமரத்தில் கிளை வெட்டுவதற்கு சென்ற போது பலரும் இது போல் கிளைகளை வெட்டி நட்டால் மரங்கள் வளராது என்று இந்த இளைஞர்களை பயமுறுத்தியுள்ளனர். இருப்பினும் முயற்சி செய்வதில் தப்பில்லை என்று நான்கு மரக் கிளைகளை சிமென்ட் பைகளில் மண் இட்டு நட்டு தண்ணீர் விட்டு வந்துள்ளனர்.  முருகன் கோவில் இருக்கும் குன்றில் வளர்ந்த போத்தை நட்டும் விட்டு பார்த்துள்ளனர், அருமையாக வளர்ந்துவிட்டது.

The Bus stop for this village is called as "arasa maram " meaning Peepul tree but actually a Banyan tree is only available there. When our friends went to cut branches from that banyan tree, some of the elders ridiculed them that trees will not grow from branches. But our friends decided to give it a try. they kept four branches in four cement bags & watered it regularly. They have grown very well.

பின்னால் தெரிவது தான் மலைமஞ்சனூர் மலை - இந்த இரு குழந்தைகளும் இந்த குன்றிலிருந்து அந்த பெரிய மலைக்கு ஆர்வத்தில் நடந்தே வந்துவிட்டனர். முருகன் அருளால்  இந்த கிராமத்தின் எதிர்காலமும் மிக பசுமையாக இருக்கும் என்பதற்கு இவர்களே சான்று. Hill seen behind is malai manjanur hill. These two kids out of curiosity & passion to see what elders are doing walked bare foot from the murugan hillock to malai manajanur hill. This is a sure sign these kind of kids will make the hills more greener.

சிமென்ட் பைகளில் ஆலம் போத்து மரக் கன்றுகள் Pothu saplings in cement bags with soil

முருகன் குன்றத்தில் ஏற்கனவே பொறுப்புள்ள இளைஞர்களால் நடப்பட்டுள்ள ஆலம் போத்து மரம் - செல்வ குமார், அசோக் ,அன்பரசு. In Murugan Hillock these responsible Youngsters have planted one Banyan pothu already & it is growing very well - Selvakumar, Ashok & Anbarasu

இதனால் நம்மை கூப்பிட்டு வளர்ந்த போத்துகளை காண்பித்தனர். 45 நாட்களில் அருமையான வளர்ச்சி இலைகள் நன்றாக கரும்பச்சை நிறத்தில் செழிப்பாக இருந்தன.  இந்த வருடத்தில் மழை வரத்து குறைவாக இருப்பதால் உடனடியாக நட்டு விடலாம் என்று இன்று மலையேறி நட்டு விட்டு வந்தோம்.

They showed us the saplings grown in 45 days. It was pretty green with full of life. since the remaining rainy period is less we decided to plant it in the same day itself.

இந்த விஜய் பக்தர் வேல் கொண்டே மரங்களுக்கு குழி எடுத்து விடுகின்றார். முருகப் பெருமானே மலைகளில் மரங்கள் நடுவதற்காகத்தான் கையில் வேல் வைத்துள்ளாரோ என்று தோன்றியது. This Fan of Actor Vijay is able to dig the pits for trees with the VEL itself. Probably that is why Lord Muruga is having a Vel always to plant trees on every hill he reisdes.

5 முதல் 25 வரை மரங்கள் நடுவதில் ஆர்வம்

விவசாயியின் பாத்தி - உயிர் தண்ணீர் விடப்பட்டுள்ளது

சீனிவாச பெருமாள் கோவிலுக்கு நேர் பின்புறம் மலைச் சரிவில் மரக் கன்று நடப்பட்டுள்ளது. பெருமாளுக்கு பச்சைமால், ஹரி என்ற பெயர்களே பசுமையினால் தான் வந்தது. The trees are planted right behind Srinivasa Perumal temple. Lord Vishnu ( Perumal) has the name of Hari meaning green.  So more the hill becomes green Vishnu's presence is felt.

அடுத்த வருடத்தில் இந்த மலையில் பல இடங்களில் முன் கூட்டியே குழிகள் எடுத்து ஊரில் உள்ள அனைவரின் பங்களிப்போடு அதிகமான போத்து மரங்கள் நட்டு இந்த மலையை முழுவதும் பசுமையாக்குவோம் என்று மலைமஞ்சனூர் புதூர் கிராம இளைஞர்கள் உறுதிப்பூண்டுள்ளனர். 

Next Year The Youth of Malaimanjanur are very enthusiastic to involve everyone from the puthur village to plant more trees on this hill and make it more green.

இந்த மலையில் வருடாவருடம் மஞ்சம் புற்கள் (பில்) அறுப்பதற்காக மலையில் சில வியாரிகள் தீ வைக்கின்றனர் அதனால் வளரும் மரங்கள் பல கருகிவிடுகின்றன். இந்த வருடம் இது குறித்து விழிப்புணர்ச்சி மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கு முயற்சி எடுப்போம்.

Every year the Lemon grass is being plucked from this hill. so those selling it are lighting the fire on the hill for better growth of the grass. This is affecting the trees growth in this hill. we are planning to conduct awareness campaign & sensitize the people about the protection of the trees on hill.

மலைச் சரிவிலும் தண்ணீர் கொண்டு போய் விட்டனர்

இந்த கிராம இளைஞர்களின் தனிச் சிறப்பு மிக இளைய வயதிலேயே ஆன்மிகத்தில் ஈடுபாடு - ஒரு சிவன் கோவிலை கட்டி தினமும் பூஜை செய்து வருகின்றனர். அவர்களது அபிமான திரை நட்சத்திரமான நடிகர் திரு விஜய் அவர்களின் இரசிகர்களாகவும் பல நலத்திட்டங்களை செயலாக்கம் செய்து வருகின்றனர். ( இவர்கள் விஜயின் பக்தர்கள் சிவனின் ரசிகர்கள் என்றே சொல்லலாம் ). Unique feature of this village boys is their spiritual interest . They have built a Lord Siva temple and doing pooja every day. They are also doing welfare activities in the name of their matinee idol Actor Mr. Vijay.  ( We can call them as devotees of Vijay & Fans of Lord Siva )

மரம் நட்ட நாள் திரு செல்வகுமாருக்கு (வலது புறத்திலிருந்து 2வது நபர்) பிறந்த நாளாகவும் இருந்த்தால் அவருக்கு ஒரு செம்மர கன்று பரிசளித்தோம். Day we planted trees happens to be Mr.Selva Kumar's (2nd person from Right ) birthday. so we all presented him with a red sander sapling.
