Greening Parvatha malai

 The Thiruvannamalai, one of the most sought after spiritual city in the world also have many different hills in the district of about 6200 Sq. Kms area , which are part of Eastern Ghats mountain ranges. 

உலகத்தின் ஆன்மீக தலை நகராம் திருவண்ணாமலை பெயரில் இருக்கும் 6200 சதுர கி.மீ பரப்பளவு  இருக்கும்  திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டத்தில் பல மலை குன்றுகள் உள்ளன . இவை கிழக்கு தொடர்ச்சி மலை தொடரின் ஒரு பகுதியாகும் .

Apart from the world famous Thiruvannamalai hill, 2nd most popular & highly revered mountain in this district is Parvatha Malai. 

உலக புகழ் பெற்ற அண்ணாமலை அடுத்து அதிகம் பிரபலமான மலை  பர்வத மலையாகும் .  இதுவும் ஆன்மீக தேடல் உள்ளவர்கள் தேடி  வரும் உன்னத மலை  தலமாகும் . 

கடந்த சில மாதங்களுக்கு முன்னர் இந்த மலையில்  ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்ட தீ  பற்றியும் , மேலும்  வெயில் காலங்களில் தண்ணீர் இன்றி உண்ண  உணவின்றி  எப்படி வன விலங்குகள் - குரங்குகள், மான்கள் , காட்டு பன்றிகள் என்று பல  வகை  பிராணிகளும் தவிப்பதை பர்வத மலை பாதுகாப்பு குழுவினர் நமது கவனத்திற்கு  கொண்டு வந்தனர் . 

Few Months ago, Parvatha Malai Padukaappu Kuzhu brought to our notice about the man made forest fire &  about the struggles of the animals during summer months for water & food in the hills.

இதனால் இந்த  வருடத்தில்  இந்த பரந்த மலையிலும் நாம்  அதிகம்  மரங்கள்  வளர்க்கும்  முயற்சியை தொடங்கி இந்த  மலையை சுற்றியுள்ள கிராமங்களில்  இருக்கும் இளைஞ்ர்களை மலையில் மரங்கள் நட்டு  பாதுகாக்க ஈர்க்க வேண்டும்  என்று முடிவு செய்தோம்.

So we decided to start the greening process in this wide mountain with the help of youngsters from all the neighboring villages around the Parvatha Malai.
