திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டத்தில் அண்ணாமலைக்கு அடுத்து பிரபலமான ஆன்மீக சிவத் தலம் பர்வதமலை. அண்ணாமலையாரை காட்டிலும் உயரமான மலை. மலையின் உச்சியில் உள்ள சிவன் கோவில் ஏறுவதற்கு கடப்பாரையை பிடித்து கொண்டு ஏறுவது மிகப் பிரபலம் மற்றும் மிகவும் கவனத்துடன் செய்ய வேண்டிய ஒரு யாத்திரை.

In Thiruvannamalai district in Tamilnadu, Parvathamalai is the second most famous hill shrine after the Thiruvannamalai hill & Shrine.  Parvatha Malai is very famous for its hill top shrine located on top of a steep rock.

ஆனால் இந்த மலையின் உச்சியின் பெரும் பகுதி வெறும் கற்பாறைகள் தான்.  மரங்களே இல்லாமல் வெப்பம் நம்மை வாட்டும் அளவிற்கு நிழல் இல்லாத வறண்ட பாறைகள்.

The top of the hill is a dry rock, it radiates heat under the hot sun without much shade.

இதனால் இந்த மலையில் வசிக்கும் விலங்குகள் கோடை காலங்களில் தண்ணீர் இன்றி வாடும் நிலைமை பற்றி பர்வதமலை பாதுகாப்பு குழுவின் மூலமாக நமது இயக்கத்திற்கு தகவல் கிடைத்தது.

During summer, most of the animals living in this hill suffer due to water scarcity is the point drawn us to this hill through the Parvathamalai protection team.

பர்வதமலை பாதுகாப்பு குழுவின் திரு. சதீஷ் மலையில் குழிகள் எடுக்கவும், மரங்கள் நடுவதற்கும் தமது குழுவினர் திரு. குமரன், திரு. மஞ்சுனாத், திரு. சுப்ரமணியம், திரு.பழனிசாமி, திரு. பாலாஜி , திரு. தினகரன் மற்றும் பள்ளி மாணவர்கள் திரு. கிரண், திரு. மாறன் மற்றும் திரு. சுனில் பங்கேற்றனர். மரத்திர்கான குழிகள் எடுப்பதற்கு நமது இயக்கத்தின் ஆலோசகர் ஆன்மீக அன்பர் திரு. பிரகாஷ், நண்பர் திரு. ரமேஷ் வந்து உதவிகள் செய்தனர். 1 நவ 2020 அன்று கன்னிமார் கோவில் குகையின் மேற்கு பகுதியில் குழிகள் எடுத்தோம். மலை குகையில் வாழ்ந்து வரும் சுவாமிகள் நமது குழுவினருக்கு வேலைகள் செய்த பின்னர் பசித்த வயிறுகளுக்கு வயிறார அன்னம் படைத்தார்.

Parvathamalai protection team’s Mr. Satish, Mr. Kumaran, Mr, Manjunath, Mr. Subramanian, Mr. Palanisami, Mr. Balaji , Mr. Dinakaran along with school students Mr. Maran, Mr, Kiran & Mr. Sunil helped us in digging the pits & planting the trees. From Chennai, our iyakkam’s advisor Mr. Prakash  & his Mr. Friend Mr. Ramesh joined us on 1^st Nov 2020 during digging the pits.  Swamiji living in the cave gave all of us good quality food to our hungry stomachs after the activities.

7 நவம்பர் 2020 அன்று மாதுளம்பாடி அரசு பள்ளி ஆசிரியரின் சீரிய முன்னெடுப்பில் அவர் வாங்கி வந்த மரக் கன்றுகளை குழிகள் நட்டு ஓடையில் போகும் தண்ணீரை எடுத்து வந்து விட்டு பருவதமலையை பசுமையாக்கும் பணியை துவக்கிவிட்டோம்.  நட்ட மரங்களின் மீது காய்கறிக்களுக்கான ஜல்லடை பைகள் வாங்கி வந்து மரங்கள் மீது ஆடு- மாடுகள் கடிக்கா வண்ணம் போட்டு விட்டோம். மேலும் இந்த பைகள் பனிக் காலங்களில் பனியை நீராக்கி செடிகளுக்கு தண்ணீர் வார்க்கும்.

On 7^th Nov 2020, School teacher from Madhulambadi Government High school, brought the saplings from Thiruvannamalai and actively participated in tree planting event.  Water sourced from a small rivulet was used in watering the plants after planting. We even covered the plants with the porous bags , from vegetable market to cover the plants to prevent grazing by animals & also to act as a condensing net during dew months to water the plants naturally after rainy season from atmospheric moisture.

இது ஒரு சிறு துவக்கம் தான். இந்த மலையின் கிரிவலப் பாதை கிட்டத்தட்ட 26 கிமீ நீள்கிறது. இதன் சுற்றுபுறத்தில் உள்ள 20 கிராமத்தின் மக்களும் இந்த பசுமை பணியில் ஈடுபட்டால் இந்த மலையை ஒரே ஆண்டிற்குள் பசுமையாக்கிவிடலாம்.  அதுவும் தவிர திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டத்தில் அடிக்கடி நடக்கும் மலைகளில் வளரும் மஞ்சாம் புற்களுக்காக மலையில் தீ முட்டும் செயல்கள் இல்லாமல் போனால், இந்த அற்புத ஆன்மீக மலை இங்குள்ள கிராமங்களுக்கு வற்றாத தண்ணீர் கொடுக்க வல்லது.

This is a small but a significant beginning. The circumbulating (Giri Valam ) path of the hill is about 26 Kms.  If all the people living in around this path in 20 odd villages come together this hill can be completely greened. Another important safe guarding activity is to protect the hills from Man made fires for harvesting the Lemon grass growing on the hills. Then this hill can give plenty of water to all the villages around through its rivulets.

இது போல் பல கிராமங்களில் தங்களுக்கு மலைகள் இறைவன் என்னும் இயற்கை கொடுத்த வரமாகத்தான் எடுத்து மலைகளுக்கு பசுமை போர்வை அளித்து கிராமத்தினரின்-விவசாயிகளின் வாழ்வில் பசுமையை கூட்ட பொறுப்புள்ள குடிமக்கள் இயக்கம் முயற்சித்து வருகிறது.

Responsible citizens iYakkam is making sincere efforts in creating awareness and motivation to villagers to treat the hills as the Nature ( God ) given gift & if we could maintain each one of them with tall rain catching forests, it will bring a big change in the whole scenario.

நீர் உயர நெல் உயரும் அதனால் கலைகள் வளரும் மக்களின் அன்றாட வாழ்வில் மகிழ்ச்சி பெருகும் , மரங்கள் பெருக பெருக அமைதி பரவும் ஒரு பொறுப்புள்ள சமுதாயம் அமையும் என்ற முனைப்பினால் தான் பொறுப்புள்ள குடிமக்கள் இயக்கம் “மலைகள் தோறும் மரங்கள்” திட்டத்தை பல கிராமங்களில் முக்கியமாக சிறுவர்களின் மனதில் விதை போட்டு வருகிறோம்.

“Trees on Every Hill “Project is not just for bringing water, it is for rejuvenating culture with various art forms, when plenty of water is available for agriculture, with that people get prosperity and then peace will pervade in every part of the country.

 

மாணவர்களின் உற்சாகத்தை கண்டு நமது எதிர்காலம் மிகவும் பசுமையாக இருக்கும் என்று திடமாக நம்புகிறோம்.  சினிமா நாயகர்கள் அரசியல் தலைவர்கள், விளையாட்டு பிரபலங்கள் இவர்களின் எண்ணற்ற ரசிகர்கள், தொண்டர்கள் அனைவரையும் அவர்களின் அபிமான் ஹீரோக்களை கொண்டாட கூட மரம் நட்டு கொண்டாட சொல்லி அழைக்கிறோம். பிறப்பு முதல்  இறப்பு பரை அனைத்திற்கும் மரம் நட்டு நமது உலகத்தை பசுமையாக்குவோம்.

From our interactions, we strongly believe the future is going to be very green & prosperous due to enthusiasm we observe in Young school children during our programmes.  We encourage the youths to celebrate their cinema heroes, cricket heroes, politicians by planting more & more trees in every part of the village, mainly in all hills. From birth to death every incident in life to be celebrated by planting trees.

வாழ்க மரங்களுடன்.  “மரமே மிகப் பொறுப்புள்ள உயிரினம்” என்பது நமது இயக்கத்தின் தாரக மந்திரமாகும். மரங்கள் தங்களுக்காக மட்டும் மற்ற உயிரினங்களுக்காகவும் வாழும் ஒரு உன்னத உயிரினம்.

“Tree the responsible Being” is our slogan, here “tree” word used as a verb like “plant” to grow a responsible society by planting more trees,  as Trees doesn’t live for themselves it gives lives to many other beings.
