Villagers to regrow the forest - Kantara Effect

காந்தாரா பாணியில் காடுகள் மீட்டுருவாக்கம்

 

இன்று சுற்றுபுற சுழல் தினம் முதல் தென்பெண்ணை ஆற்றின் கரையில் உள்ள காப்புக் காடுகளை ஒட்டியுள்ள கிராமங்களில் பள்ளி மாணவர்கள், கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள், கிராமத்து இளைஞர்கள்யும் ஒருங்கிணைத்து :

From this day of World Environment Day, we are coordinating with all villages on the banks of River Thenpennai -Reserved forests to take up the following activities :

1. விதைகள் சேகரித்தல்  Tree seeds collection

2. விதை பந்துகள் தயாரித்தல் Seed balls making

3. விதை பந்துகள் தூவுதல் Seed balls sowing

4. மரக் கன்றுகளை வளர்த்தல் Growing plant nurseries

5. மரக் கன்றுகளை நட்டு வளர்த்தல் Plant and grow trees

6. ஒவ்வொரு கிராமத்திலும் ஒரு மர நாற்று பண்ணை அமைத்தல் Develop one plant nursery at least in each village

7. நெகிழி குப்பைகள் சேகரித்தல் - அவற்றை கட்டுமான பணிக்கு "பசுமை செங்கல்" ஆக மறு சுழ்ற்சி செய்தல்  Collecting all plastic wastes and upcycle them as ECO BRICKS

                            

ஆகிய பணிகள் தொடங்க உள்ளோம். இந்த வருடத்தில் வெப்பம் அதிகம் உள்ளதால் பள்ளிகள் திறப்பதை ஒத்தி வைத்துள்ளதாக பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறையின் செய்தி அறிக்கை தெரிவிக்கிறது. பள்ளிகள் திறந்தபின் ஒவ்வொரு கிராமத்திலும் பள்ளி மாணவர்களுடன், வனத்துறையினருடன் இணைந்து பொறுப்புள்ள குடிமக்கள் இயக்கம் சார்பாக "காந்தாரா" திரைப்படத்தில் வருவது போல் "காடுகள் செழித்தால் நாடு செழிக்கும்" என்பதனை வலியுறுத்தி செயலாக்க திட்டமிட்டு வருகிறோம். இது வரை கிராமத்தவர் காடுகளிலிருந்து விறகுகளை எடுக்க மட்டுமே என்ற நிலை மாறி வளரும் தலைமுறையினர் காடு வளர்க்கவும் முன் வந்து ஒரு பொறுப்புள்ள தலைமுறை உருவாக்கி நமது சுற்றுசுழலை தூய்மையாக காத்திடுவோம்.

All the Schools were supposed to be open by 1st week of June. This year, due to heat, schools reopening are postponed by Education Department. Once the schools are reopened, along with forest department officials, Responsible Citizens iYakkam is planning events by bringing coordination between villagers and Forests department like in "Kantara" movie to "Grow forests for Nation's Prosperity". So far Forests departments feel that Villagers neighboring the reserved forests are only taking the firewood from forests, but from this generation, we at RCI, wants to develop a Responsible Society, where villagers grow trees and forests in density with the support of Forest Department officials.

திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டம் தானிப்பாடி வனச்சரக நிர்வாக அலுவலர் திரு பழனிவேல் அய்யா அவர்களும், தருமபுரி மாவட்டம் கோட்டப்பட்டி வனச்சரக நிர்வாக அலுவலர் திரு சரண் அய்யா அவர்களும் பொறுப்புள்ள குடிமக்கள் இயக்கத்தின் இந்த முன்னெடுப்புக்கு தங்கள் முழு ஒத்துழைப்பை தருவதாக உறுதி அளித்துள்ளனர்.

The Ranger of Thanipadi Forest Range in Tiruvannamalai District Mr. Palanivel and The Ranger of Kottapatti Forest Range in Dharamapuri District Mr. Charan have kindly consented to support our initiative in bringing together the villagers and Foresters in Reserved forests development .
